Show Ponies are hand-made, home-made creations that take a variety of mass-produced plastic pony toys (most often Hasbro Corporation's "My Little Pony" figures) and turn them into something visually and culturally unexpected. Show Ponies are completely re-painted, re-dyed, re-haired, and re-clothed in order to become something you'd never have seen as a child. Poking fun at conceptions of idealized girlhood, femininity, and the proper way to be an adult, Show Ponies are meant to be collectables for the adult pony lover. As you'll probably notice, adult themes and small parts abound in each figure, making them unsuitable for children. These aren't the ponies you remember!
